Facilities
Our lab space is located in Wean Hall 3314, within the main Carnegie Mellon University campus in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a solid state synthesis laboratory, we possess numerous furnaces, a glovebox, and various equipment targeted for both hot and wet chemical synthesis.
In addition to our synthetic capabilities, our group makes use of the Materials Characterization Facility within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, which possesses a number of diffraction and microscopy equipment that bolster our synthetic work. In addition, the MCF is acquiring a Quantum Design Physical Properties Measurement System equipped with a 14 T magnet, which will become available in 2025.
Lab remains under construction as of January 2025 - come back soon for more updates!
